Short-Term Running Goals:

Get unfat

Become able to train at a reasonably high level again

Get sort of fast again

Build up enough base to not embarass myself too badly at the 2017 Bear 100

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy, make steady incremental improvements, eventually get under 1:10 in the half marathon and 2:30 in the marathon.

Personal:

I am a bioengineering PhD currently working as a post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Neurology at the University of Utah, where I design neurosurgical approaches for treating movement disorders. I was sort of fast until I put running on the back burner at the end of grad school and am trying to get sort of fast again now.

Am: 6.3 with Fritz and Roo. Mostly road with a bit of trail through Miller Park. 7:41 AP with 270' gain. I swear it took me 2 miles to really wake up today.  Pm: 6.1 from campus to sugarhouse. All downhill makes 7:28 average feel reaaaally lazy.
